Welcome to One Cool World "Base Camp". We provide the children and families in our community an enriching activity center to participate in after school and on the weekends. The Center help's children discover their unique abilities, experience success, and reinforce learning. Kids get the "old school" opportunity to develop individual skills and learn more about themselves while always being involved in a group. During their time here they will learn sportsmanship, a sense of curiosity and most of all friendship & fun! We aim to challenge and develop creative minds while building friendships and establishing individual goals in a fun and safe environment for your child. If it's cool - we do it. By offering your child an array of exciting new ways to fill up their free time we help to eliminate the phrase "I'm bored" from their vocabulary.
Chill Center Our Chill Center is the ultimate in cool. Equipped with the Alienware Area 51 computer’s loaded with games, video editing, music mixing and more. We also have a Mac G5, Playstation, tech decks and more. There are couches and throw pillows for kicking back and watching DVD’s, Videos, reading magazines, books, or throwing down on the play station. We are way more then just a skate park, we have so many cool things to do: Table Top Gaming:Learn the principles behind table top gaming, painting miniatures, and making cool terrain. It is a 4 week course which can be started at any time. Cable TV Show: We are planning our own cable TV show for the City of Miami cable channel and other channels. Campers will film and edit at the park and combine skating, music, and art into their show. Photography and Film Editing: Kids love to film their tricks, and the skate park provides digital and still cameras for the campers, along with a computer for them to edit on. Art: Campers are provided with so many different ways to express their creative ideas, from painting skateboards, to making murals. Music: The center currently provides music mixing stations, guitars, and keyboards. We encourage campers to learn to play or bring in their own instruments. BMX Bikes: Using the Oak tree canopy as shade and a natural bike trail, campers are able to ride around the course they design using the different terrain to create obstacles. Long Boarding/Mtn Boarding: Sloping sidewalks and Peacock Park’s elevation allows us to teach children the fundamentals of board riding(surf/skate/snow) using heel/toe side turning Kayaking: Explore Biscayne Bay, Water Saftey Instructors will lead you out to the grass flats and the spoil Island to explore a new frontier. Fishing: The waters in and around Miami are filled with numerous fish to catch. The knowledge of how to fish, identify, and rig baits through hands on for an awesome experience. |
